Villanova is back atop the Week 10 AP Top 25 after a one-week absence but the Wildcats' two-spot jump wasn't because of their win over Marquette — their lone game of the week. It was because of shocking road losses by No. 1 Michigan State and No. 2 Duke, along with losses by No. 4 Arizona State and No. 5 Xavier that to ensure no one hopped Villanova.
Let's break down all the movement in the Week 10 AP Top 25, but first, here are the full rankings:

Good Weeks
Villanova got No. 1 but Week 10 belongs to Texas Tech. The Red Raiders beat Kansas — handily, 85-73 — and Kansas State to jump 10 spots to No. 8, their second-highest ranking ever and best since the 1995-96 season.
West Virginia earned their first top-three ranking in 54 years thanks to a win over Oklahoma. The Mountaineers have steadily climbed 22 spots since the Week 2 rankings.
Also, voters love Purdue (maybe by default?) despite two expected wins over Nebraska and Rutgers. The Boilermakers are back in the top five after an eight-spot jump.

Bad Weeks
Um, everyone?
Not, not really but it sure felt like it after Michigan State got pummeled by Ohio State, North Carolina scored 49 points vs. Virginia, Duke fell to North Carolina State, Arizona State and Arizona both lost to Colorado and Kansas was embarrassed at home by Texas Tech.

Opportunities to Enter Top 25
Notre Dame (No. 26) sans Bonzie Colson is a 2-0 week away from re-entering the Top 25. The Irish visit Georgia Tech on Wednesday and host offensively challenged North Carolina on Saturday.
Also, Florida (No. 27) is riding a five-game winning streak after dropping four of five earlier this year, and while the Gators don't run the gauntlet this week, a 2-0 week combined losses by teams above them should be enough to bump them back in.
And Texas A&M (No. 28) is a way behind No. 25 Creighton (98 points) but the Aggies play both Kentucky and Tennessee this week.

Opportunities to Fall From Top 25
None of the bottom seven teams are safe.
Creighton gets both Butler and Xavier and, as mentioned above, Tennessee and Kentucky both play Texas A&M. North Carolina has a hot Notre Dame team, and Clemson faces Miami (FL) and the North Carolina State team that just beat Duke.
