Texas lost to Kansas State, 23-0, on Oct. 25, 2014, dropping the Longhorns to 3-5 on the season, their first 3-5 start since 1997. After fielding some of the best teams in college football for more than a decade, Texas started 3-5 in back-to-back seasons.
