Cooper Kupp Fantasy Football Outlook: Receiver’s Stock is Soaring

His stats are exploding. His 75 percent catch rate is impressive. He's no. 12 in receiving yards despite sharing the wealth with a pair of teammates. October's Cooper Kupp fantasy football outlook is quite simple: Start him for the remainder of the season.

The former Eastern Washington legend had a solid rookie season last year in catching 62 passes for 869 yards and five touchdowns. It turns out he was merely warming up.

Kupp already has four TD grabs through the first quarter of the season to go along with 24 receptions for 348 yards. He ranks near the top of the NFL in the latter category even with Brandin Cooks (452 yards) and Robert Woods (323 yards) getting their fair share of targets.

Kupp has exceeded his fantasy point expectations three out of four weeks and erupted for 28 points in standard leagues during week 4.

What's equally amazing is according to FantasyPros, Kupp is still available in about 10 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues. I imagine that percentage will shrink mightily this week after Thursday night's nine catches for 162 yards and a pair of scores against the Vikings.

Now, what if you're in the enviable position of owning not only Kupp but Cooks or Woods as well? If you're worried that each WR might vulture fantasy points from the other, think again.

Now that's some mighty excellent distribution by third-year QB Jared Goff who enters a week 5 road contest at Seattle with 1,406 yards passing, 11 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. His quarterback rating is second in the league at 127.3 behind only Patrick Mahomes.

If you have Cooper Kupp on your fantasy team, start him. If you can trade for the receiver, do it.

And if all else fails and you can't get him on your roster in 2018, then make sure drafting him is a priority next summer.
