VOTE: Best Senior Player in D2 Women’s Basketball

The game of basketball is one of many facts and figures, but none are more important than the players who play the game. While there are many levels of talent, roles, and experience that matter to a possible win or loss, nothing can beat the total package of a senior player who has been through it all on their quest to glory with their respective program.

D2 Women's Basketball has a collection of hundreds of seniors who each bring the best to their team and exemplify the character each program strives for, but only few can be considered for the best in the business.

Take a look at our profiles below, and place a vote for your favorite candidate in the following poll. Voting closes on Thursday February 1 at 11:00 a.m. PST, so make sure to vote quick, often, and spread the word!

Martha Burse, G — Indianapolis

Burse is the leading scorer among all senior players in the country at an even 22.0 PPG.

Shatara Parsons, F — California (PA)

Previously a key role player for the Vulcans behind a pair of All-Americans, Parsons has stepped her game up with both either graduated or injured this year to the tune of a career-best 21.5 PPG.

Laney Lewis, F — Ursuline

The Arrows superstar has totaled a national-best two triple doubles throughout the season thus far, and has come close to a few others in her final run with UC. She also places in the top six in assists per game (6) and rebounds per game (1) for the entire nation.

Tess Bruffey, C — Lubbock Christian

Bruffey has a senior-best 4.21 blocks per game as of January 25, putting her nearly a half-block per game above the next best player and into second in the nation.
