Dana Holgorsen made an unexpected real-estate purchase on Tuesday. The West Virginia head coach bought Rutgers University.
Ahead of West Virginia's Week 6 game vs. Kansas, Holgorsen was asked about the Jayhawks' defense, one that ranks third nationally in interceptions (eight) and ranks first nationally in turnover margin (plus-12). Specifically, he was asked about eight different Kansas players having an interception.
Hide the children.
For God's sake, hide the children.
Holgorsen's response:
"That's the Rutgers factor."
He's right; Rutgers has committed 13 turnovers in five games. They threw three interceptions, which were among six total turnovers, in a blowout loss to Kansas in Week 3.
Dana Holgorsen, you are the proud new owner of 2,685 acres of land in New Brunswick, N.J.
