An Inside Guide: Which NHL Players We’d Put Our Money On

The National Hockey League is a part of the DNA of North America. For years, lucky fans would attend games and dress in their team’s colors, while others watch from home yelling at their TV screens. These days the NHL is not only loved by those living in the United States and Canada, but the entire world now watches these nail-biting games. The NHL comprises 31 teams, 7 in Canada and 27 in the States.

The games are exciting as they are lucrative – they bring in over 3,700 EUR million each year in revenue. There has been a global increase in betting on the NHL, which has almost doubled since 2005. Casino operators have also noted an increase in Nevada (the gambling capital of the world) since the Vegas Golden Knights began to play.

With so many great teams and players, we understand it can feel overwhelming when choosing who to support and bet on. That’s why we’ve made a comprehensive list of players in the NHL we have our eye on. Hopefully, this will help you decide who to root for and maybe even where to bet. Get in on the NHL action and add a little spice to the game by placing a little cash down. It will make these nail-biting games even more exciting.

Jack Hughes

At just 17 Jack Hughes is already making waves. He is the No. 1 overall draft pick for 2019. We’d suggest following this young buck wherever he goes, he will shake up the game. He has the ultimate mix of agility, speed and determination. He’s on track to break the U.S National Team Development Program records held my Auston Matthews. Whatever team snaps him up, we’ll be banking on this kid.

Erik Karlsson

Erik Karlsson is a mighty defenseman hailing from Sweden. He was recently traded from Ottawa to San Jose. Even though he scored his first goal in 21 games recently, we think his post ankle injury career might have been the fire he’s been waiting for. Normally this means high-odds for scoring goals, so we’d put a little loose change on him hoping he’ll pay off BIG. We also think his razor shark defense might be San Jose’s winning ticket in 2019.

Connor McDavid

Connor McDavid is a firm fan favorite. The captain of the Edmonton Oilers leads his team as the center. He recently proved why he is adored by the hockey world when he set the NHL record for assisting or scoring on the first nine goals – beating Adam Oates old record by two goals. We’re thinking this will continue throughout the season, so our cash is going on this superstar to score more goals (particularly a few right off the bat.)

Sidney Crosby

Sidney Crosby is a veteran on the game, but don’t let his 31 years of age make you believe this spark is dulling soon. Crosby had a slow start to the season with an injury, but he has since bounced back, proving you can teach an old dog new tricks. Crosby’s team the Penguins have also had a sluggish start, so the gamble is high but if either Sidney or Penguins win, it means we win big. The Penguins have won 3/4 of their last games, so we are banking on another win, with the help Crosby, we think they can do it.

Ilya Kovalchuk

The Olympic gold medal winner has returned to the states after a five-year sabbatical, and we are thrilled. This razor-sharp player has not been dulled in fact we’re finding this 35-year-old Russian sharper than ever. Scoring 14 points in 20 games is a message to the world Kovalchuk has still got it. Playing for the L.A Kings this Russian superstar is likely to provide a much-needed boost. We think he will keep having an amazing season, so our money is on him. Keep an eye on him, we think he might be the golden ticket.

The NHL season has only just begun, and we are already loving the drama, the glory and the guts all the players bring. Keep updated and be in the know to make sure you take advantage of bettting bonus codes to add an extra thrill to the game by spicing it up with a little bet.
