The effort is to aid in sports fans all over the world who currently have nothing to watch due to th COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing. A smart and wonderful move for fans and potential fans all over the world who have the opportunity to watch all of the 2019 WNBA action.

The WNBA joins the likes of other pro leagues who have offered complimentary access to their streaming platforms like the NBA's League Pass and NF's Game Pass.
"I know the evolving situation around the coronavirus pandemic is challenging and that social distancing, among other CDC and government recommendations has us all feeling a bit confined," said Engelbert in a letter to the fans. "It is an admirable reflection of how we're all taking to heart our responsibility to look out for one another. Our hearts and prayers continue to go out to those who are impacted by the pandemic."
"To provide support and some WNBA basketball during this time, we are excited to offer a 30-day free preview of the WNBA League Pass. This complimentary offering will provide you with access to full-length replays from every game last season. We encourage you to take advantage of this and hope it offers you some entertainment in these uncertain times."
