North Carolina basketball bench player Luke Maye became a household sensation in March, when he hit the game-winning 3-pointer in the final seconds to beat Kentucky in the Regional Final of the NCAA Tournament.
If you don't remember that shot — we got you covered. It was truly a thing of beauty and will go down with the other great moments in North Carolina basketball history.
Maye's rise from a walk-on who always wanted to suit up in a Carolina Blue uniform was well-documented. I even wrote about the standing ovation Maye was welcomed with when he actually made an 8 a.m. class the very next day on seemingly no sleep.

But the big moment in Memphis wasn't the last time the 'Heels sharp shooter would make a name for himself in 2017.
Over the weekend, Maye joined some other fellow current UNC players in a game against 'Heels alumni — an annual tradition. In the final seconds, Maye found himself in familiar territory and of course did what he does best. Watch for yourself.

This is awesome. I loved how the alumni were genuinely furious and how the crowd erupted after the shot. I have a feeling this isn't the last time we hear about Maye coming through in the clutch. That's just what he does.
