Case in point: the Washington Wizards vs New York Knicks — a game that looked like a potential blowout on paper, but ended much closer than it had any right to. And while the Wizards ultimately won, 106-103, thanks to Bradley Beal’s late-game heroics.
Beal scored 25 points, including a tiebreaking 3-pointer with 49 seconds left, to secure the victory, while his teammate, John Wall, continued his torrid play of late by contributing 24 points and eight assists.
Oh, and he also threw down this emphatic monster dunk that left everyone in Madison Square Garden visibly shaken:
The Wizards currently hold the No. 4 spot in the Eastern Conference, but hold the same record as Toronto (48-31) with three games left on the docket.
The New York Knicks, meanwhile, are out of the playoff race after another disastrous season, but seem to enjoy playing spoiler late in the year. Imagine if the team would've put as much effort earlier this season …
