Tuesday, June 13, 2017, was a day for outfielders and double play artists in the major leagues.
The top five plays of the day showcase three outfielders doing their thing, along with a couple of middle infielders turning expected base hits into double plays. My personal favorite play of the day slotted in at No. 3 on the list. It saw Daniel Murphy of the Washington Nationals ignore his covering shortstop to work the double play magic all on his own.
