Time once again for our look at some of the top single-game performances of the week in D1 college baseball – the nominees for HERO of the Week!

The only way to vote is in the polls at the bottom of each section. Once you’ve made your voice heard, share with friends so they can vote as well and check back next week to see who won. Polls close Tuesday at noon Pacific, so be sure to get your vote in on time!

If you know of a player you think we should include next week, let us know! Nominate a player by sending an email with “D1 Baseball HERO” in the subject line to stories@herosports.com, or tweet us your nomination @HEROSportsNews with the hashtag #D1BBHERO.

John Schuknecht, Cal Poly baseballWith almost 62 percent of the vote last week, you chose John Schuknecht of BR-111 Cal Poly as the D1 Baseball Offensive HERO of the Week! Schuknecht had a grand slam and six RBIs in a 17-5 win over BR-113 UC Irvine.

Mitchell White Santa Clara baseball 2016On the flip side, Mitchell White of BR-142 Santa Clara topped Kyle Wright of BR-2 Vanderbilt by a single vote to take the D1 Baseball Pitching HERO of the Week honors. White earned the award after he tossed a complete game with a career-high 15 strikeouts in a 9-1 win over BR-198 Portland.

Congrats to John and Mitchell!
