In the end there was very little suspense at the top end of the NBA Draft on Thursday night as the Philadelphia 76ers took Australian big man Ben Simmons out of LSU with the number one overall pick. It had been looking for the last couple of weeks like the Sixers were leaning toward taking Simmons with the pick, making him the second Aussie to be taken number one overall after Andrew Bogut in 2005. Simmons has unlimited potential given his 19.2 points per game to go along with crazy ball handling, court vision and passing abilities for a 6-foot-10, 240-pounder.
