The BR-11 UCLA men’s soccer team had themselves a day yesterday. They beat up on BR-8 Akron, by a final score of 6-1 — a demolition which included an NCAA soccer record three goals in 32 seconds of play.
The Bruins (2-1-1) picked up goals from Seyi Adekoya and Brian Iloski in the first half to go up 2-0 — Iloski’s on an impressive free kick from just outside the box in the 43rd minute. Then, after the half, the real fireworks got started.
Abu Danladi and Jackson Yueill took the field for the first time after the midway break and wasted no time — they pulled a fantastic give-and-go in the 52nd minute to score. Then, just 11 seconds later, Yueill stole the Zips’ first pass and set Danladi for yet another goal. Finally, just moments later, Yueill earned his third assist in half a minute when he passed to Blayne Martinez who beat his defender and scored.
The video above shows all the madness, as the Bruins ended up with a commanding 6-1 win.
