In the final matchup of the month, junior Alexis Gonzalez belted her eighth home run of the season in the bottom of the first, but BR- 28 Cal State Fullerton couldn’t overcome a five-run fifth inning by Long Beach State as it dropped an 8-4 contest to the 49ers. With the loss, the Titans fall to 39-12 overall and 13-2 in the Big West Conference. The loss came after a double-header split with the Beach just two days before.
Prior to the series against Long Beach State, the Titans had won 13 straight games and had not lost a game in the month of April.
