Time once again for our weekly look at some the top single-game performances in D2 college baseball – the nominees for HERO of the Week!
The only way to vote is the poll at the bottom of the page. Once you’ve made your voice heard, be sure to share with friends so they can vote as well, and check back next week to see who won. Polls close Tuesday at noon Pacific, so be sure to get your vote in on time!
If you know of a player you think we should include next week, let us know! Nominate a player by sending an email with “D2 Baseball HERO” in the subject line to stories@herosports.com, or tweet us your nomination @HEROSportsNews with the hashtag #D2BBHERO. At the end of the year, we’ll compile all the HEROES of the Week from this season and let you vote on the D2 Baseball Performance of the YEAR!
With 66 percent of last week's vote, you chose Zach Scudder of BR-124 Pfeiffer as your D2 Baseball Offensive HERO of the Week! Scudder earned the award after he smacked two home runs and had five RBIs in a 20-3 blowout of BR-224 Southern Wesleyan.
On the flip side, you chose Dalton Moats of BR-20 Delta State as your D2 Baseball Pitching HERO of the Week with 40 percent of the vote. Moats struck out 10 batters in seven innings against BR-198 Shorter. He ended up earning the W in the 9-0 win.
Congrats to Zach and Dalton! Now onto this week's nominees.
