Talking the talk while walking the walk has long been the standard for the University of Indianapolis football team. The Greyhounds, after all, have won the Great Lakes Valley Conference championship in each of the four years in which the league has sponsored football. Even before taking a snap in the 2016 season, it's probably fair to say that the Greyhounds have already won one big battle off the field: the hype video.
With this mash up of the Beastie Boys hit single 'Sabotage', highlights of the 2015 season, and a few clips of launching rockets, UIndy may have put out the most inspiring hype video of any D2 football team. Kinda makes you want to strap on the pads, throw on a helmet and hit the turf at Key Stadium…
(Okay, I can't say that I would throw the pads and a helmet on – I'm way too old for that and my muscles aren't as cooperative as I'd like them to be – but it might be enough to earn an October visit from this intrepid D2 beat writer for a key GLVC showdown.)
UIndy opens the 2016 season Saturday night at Hillsdale, then hosts NAIA national champion Marian at Key Stadium on Sept. 10.
