It’s not easy for any player from a non-FBS school to be selected in the NFL Draft. Only two D2 football players were drafted in 2015, and while nobody is suggesting a bumper crop of D2 players will hear their names called in Chicago this weekend, here are five players I think deserve to be drafted.
Unlike Mel Kiper, Jr. (“draft expert”) and Mike Mayock – whose on-air analysis is only slightly easier to follow than nuclear physics – my selections aren’t based on combine stats or pro days or advanced statistical analysis. Rather, these predictions are just based on years of faithful D2 football fandom and analysis.
