At first there was Audrey Hepburn, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor…
But now… we have Kim Mulkey.
The fierce and fiery Baylor women’s basketball head coach has long been known for her bright colors, animal prints and a neverending closet of jackets. She has an edgy, tailored look that reflects her personality and has caught our attention for many years.
Here are some of the best Kim Mulkey outfits and looks of all-time.
The Orange Power Suit With Sunshine Yellow
Unless you live under a rock, you couldn’t miss this glowing ray of sunshine on the sidelines during Baylor’s Elite Eight game versus Iowa. Although Kim Mulkey’s outfit was hard to miss, this is a current style suit new to her wardrobe as of 2019. With stylish cuts and lines, this is a flattering fit featuring a tapered ankle pant. What makes this the most impressive was her ability to find a turtleneck that perfectly matched her bright yellow heels.
I’m confident in the fact that Mulkey has now made history. While recently seen on celebrity Lisa Rinna, this look has definitely never been seen before on the hardwood.
The Hot Pink Undefeated Neon Jacket
This vibrant, shoulder-paded piece dates back to 2012 during the NCAA Tournament semifinal round against Stanford. Baylor finished 42-0 that season going on to win the National Championship.
Python Leather Pants
Kim doesn’t shy away from leather.. and lets be honest… she rocks it. From the plain black to python print, she’ll wear leather on leather. The pink jacket trimmed in leather with the black leather pants is personal favorite of mine.
The Mosaic Blouse
This dates back to before 2011, but it is noteworthy for the pattern alone. I love how Mulkey blends in a hint of Baylor green with her vibrant pinks and blues.
The Chic Military/Michael Jackson-ish Jacket
This single breasted button up is feminine and subtle and dates back to the Baylor National Championship run of 2012. It has made it’s appearance several times throughout the years.
In Baylor’s recent upset win over No. 1 UConn, Mulkey rocked a leopard print bell sleeve blouse with a faux leather double breasted vest. And it was fantastic.
These animal prints have always been a staple in Mulkey’s wardrobe.
Black and White Stripes
She has been seen with numerous tops, blouses and jackets featuring simple black and white horizontal stripes.
Three of Kim’s favorite things: leather, color (especially pink) and jackets. These only makes sense.
Every now and then Mulkey will mix it up an throw in a dolman style top to go along with matching pants.
The Icon: The Gold Jacket
The is perhaps one of the most iconic articles of clothing in women’s basketball. I challenge you to find a greater piece. Gold on gold on gold accented with big chunky jewelry.
Her fashion sense is as fierce as she is. And when things get REALLY serious… she’ll toss that glittery gold jacket into the fifth row.
