Hakeem Olajuwon won NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player in 1983 after leading Houston to four tourney wins and a two-point loss to North Carolina State in the National Championship. He is the last non-champion to win the award.
Entering this year's Sweet 16, Duke forward Marvin Bagley III and Villanova guard Jalen Brunson have the best odds to win Most Outstanding Player at +600 and +700, respectively. If history repeats itself for a 35th straight year, if Brunson or Bagley wins the award, they'll also be national champions.
