Koenig's eight triples were a career high, as were his 28 points. Wisconsin's Nigel Hayes added a double-double ith 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Khalil Iverson added 11 points and Ethan Happ scored 10 and grabbed eight boards..
Virginia Tech was led by a dominant performance from Zach LeDay, who scored 23 points before fouling out late in the contest. Ty Outlaw added 16 points, with Justin Robinson kicking in 11 and Seth Alen scoring 10.
The Badgers move on to play No. 1 overall seed and defending champion Villanova on Saturday.
