The New York Liberty are on a winning streak.
The Liberty took down the Minnesota Lynx 75-69 on Wednesday night behind a breakout performance from rookie guard, Asia Durr, for their second-consecutive win.

Kia Nurse led all scorers with a season-high 26 points while playing all 40 minutes. Asia Durr finished with a new career high in her young WNBA career with 20 points on 10-for-16 shooting from the field. And finally, the Liberty offense appears to be clicking, young players are showing a little more confidence, and the burden to score does not rely so heavily on the shoulders of Tina Charles. Amanda Zahui B continues to elevate her level of play in her fifth WNBA season posting her first double-double of the year with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
What made this win even more convincing, was the composure the Liberty showed throughout the game. New York led by as many as 15 in the first half, but every time the Lynx made a run, gained some momentum, the Liberty responded.
Minnesota finished with three scorers in double figures as Sylvia Fowles led the way with 16, Odyssey Sims added 14 points and Danielle Robinson chipped in 12 points.
This is a New York team that is currently shooting the ball well. They shot a season-high against the Aces and turned around and did it again versus the Lynx at 46.2-percent. They're also rebounding the ball well outrebounding their last three opponents by an average of six per game.
For a franchise that has fallen on hard times and struggles within the last year, it is an exciting time. We are seeing the potential this roster has on it, we're seeing cohesiveness and we're seeing heart. Those things have been apparent from the start of the season, but they are finally showing through in the win column. Obviously, it is early and I could be jumping the gun a bit. But this is arguably one of the hottest teams in the league right now from a confidence perspective. We will have to see how that momentum shifts as they now head out on the road.
But for now, the Liberty are on a win streak.
New York will look to expand on their streak this week as they travel to Las Vegas for a rematch with the Aces this Friday, June 14th. You can catch the action at 10:30 pm EST on WNBA League Pass. New York is currently 2-4 in the league.
Minnesota falls to 4-3 on the season so far. Up next, they host the Connecticut Sun this Friday at 8:00 pm EST, which you can also catch on League Pass.
