Northern Iowa basketball has reached the NCAA Tournament in each of the past two seasons. Seven months removed from one of the most exhilarating buzzer-beaters of the 2016 tournament and one of the most shocking meltdowns in sports history, UNI basketball announced they'll begin the quest for three tournaments in a row with some slick black and purple new uniforms.
They lost guards Wes Washpun and Matt Bohannon to graduation, but return loads of talent, namely in the frontcourt, where Jeremy Morgan, Bennett Koch and Klint Carlson are back.
That trio and their Missouri Valley title-seeking teammates will don black uniforms that rank among the best in college basketball. Before UNI opens the season on Nov. 17 against Arizona State, here's a look at the new digs:
