The Green Bay Packers were dealt back-to-back blows Thursday night against the Bears when starting running back Ty Montgomery went down with an injury and was followed into the locker room shortly by backup Jamaal Williams. That left Green Bay with one option left at running back — Aaron Jones.

The rookie out of UTEP was the last remaining healthy back active for the game, with fellow rookie Devante Mays inactive. After Montgomery and Williams went down, Jones rushed for 12 yards and a 2-yard touchdown in the first half against the Bears.
If the Packers are without Ty Montgomery and Jamaal Williams for an extended amount of time, Jones could be a sneaky flex play in fantasy football, especially in PPR leagues.
Through three games (and the first drive Thursday), Montgomery had 41 carries for 14 yards and 2 TDs, but also had a team-high 18 catches for 129 yards and a score through the air
Jones was prolific on the ground in college but also has plenty of experience catching the ball from his days at UTEP, catching 71 passes in 34 games, scoring 7 TDs through the air.
Jones certainly isn't a catch-first back, but in the Packers' offense, he'll certainly need to be used in the passing game.
Keep an eye on him when waivers hit this week.
