Former WNBA player Rushia Brown has joined the Los Angeles Sparks staff as the team's Director of Community Relations and Youth Sports the team announced Wednesday.
This is the second hire the Sparks have announced this week following the addition of Kari Korver as the team's Director of Basketball Operations. The franchise has yet to hire a General Manager following the firing of Penny Toler in October of 2019.
The Los Angeles Sparks have hired Rushia Brown, a former forward who played in the first seven WNBA seasons.
Brown will be the team's Director of Community Relations and Youth Sports.

Brown is a seven year WNBA veteran who was a member of the Cleveland Rockers during the league's inaugural season and played for the franchise for six seasons. She completed her career with the Charlotte Sting. During her career Brown averaged six points, two rebounds and 18 minutes per game. She holds ten years of professional experience overseas in Germany, Spain, France and Korea.
Brown served as Player Programs and Franchise Development Manager for the Las Vegas Aces from 2018-2020. She also served as color analyst for Aces home game broadcasts. She holds experience working with the NBA corporate offices and extensive public speaking experience.
Brown played collegiately for Furman University where she graduated as the school's all-time leading score in 1994.
