TOP 5: GNAC Women’s Basketball Players

Each week, we'll cover a new conference and five players that are stealing the show. This week, we focus on the GNAC, and there's no shortage of talent. A number of ladies could have made the list, but we chose the following five because of a combination of high scoring and all-around stats. Leave your comments below if you disagree!

Krista Stabler, G, St. Martin’s

Krista Stabler is the top scorer in the GNAC, so when teammate Megan Weideman says, “she is one of the best shooters I have ever played with,” you can believe it.

It would definitely appear Megan is on to something with her high praise. Stabler currently averages 18.5 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.9 steals per game, and she boasts a steady three-point field goal percentage of 43.8.

Stabler said that throughout her basketball career, she has, “always been a scoring and offensive minded guard. I want to do all it takes for my team to win, and my scoring ability helps my team win basketball games.”

Seems to be going well.
