The time has come to honor the best tennis players in the country at the D1 level with the honorees for HERO of The Week. Each week we will have a list of nominees for you to vote for that stood out in competition over the week prior.
Voting will take place in the poll at the bottom of this article following the list of nominees. Voting only takes place in the poll, and the voting will close on Friday at 10:00 a.m. PST for each poll.
Without further ado, here are the nominees for HERO of The Week!

Rocio Safont, Charlotte
Safont was the lone winner for the 49ers in a dual match with East Carolina. Playing fourth in the singles rotation, the Charlotte standout claimed a straight set win over Sarah Sarjoo from ECU.

Donika Bashota, TCU
Like fellow nominee Safont, Bashota was her team's only winner against conference foe Kansas. Slotted in the fourth place spot, she won in straight sets and clinched with a 6-1 tally.

Madison Harrison, Mississippi State
Harrison led the day off for the Bulldogs and came up with a big upset over her foe from Arkansas. Winning the first set 6-3 and dropping the second 6-1, the MSU standout rebounded to claim the victory in a decisive 6-3 climax.

Kate Fahey, Michigan
Ranked 23rd in the nation, Fahey spared no time in sweeping her opponent from Purdue. The win gives her 14 consecutive in matches that were completed.

Dominique Ibarra, UT-Rio Grande Valley
Ibarra was one of a complete list of winners for RGV, but stood out because of her final tally. The third player in singles play limited her opponent to just one game in a 6-1, 6-0 victory.

Jasmin Buchta, Lamar
Buchta had a rough go in her victory over her opponent from UCA, having to go into extra frames in each set of a straight set sweep. But each time, the Cardinals standout distanced herself enough to win 7-6 (7-4), 7-6 (7-3).

Emma Davis, Wake Forest
Davis had a superb day in both singles and doubles play vs the Fighting Irish. In her singles match to start the day, the Demon Deacon won handedly 6-1, 6-0 and later took a 6-2 doubles win with partner Chandler Carter.
