With a majority of the Week 6 vote, TAMU-Kingsville's Kaina Martinez was voted D2 Women's Track & Field HERO of the Week for the third time this season! The Javelinas standout earned the award after she placed seventh in the 200M at the LSU Alumni Gold meet with a 23.43 mark, the fastest in the event in D2 this season.

Chadron State: Placed ninth in the 100M at the Steve Scott Invitational with a time of 11.76.
Grand Valley St.: Earned the victory in the 200M at the GINA Relays with a 23.87 mark.

Southern CT State: Finished third in the 400M at the Lions Invitational with a time of 54.60.
Minn. Duluth: Won the 800M at the Drake Relays with a time of 2:05.65.
Walsh: Placed 10th in the 1500M at the GINA Relays with a 4:15.67 mark.
Adams State: At the GINA Relays, she came in third in the 5000M with a 16:09.84.

Fort Hays State: Finished fourth in the 10,000M with a time of 35:02.67 at the Drake Relays.
Academy of Art: Captured the title in the 100H with a time of 13.86 at the PacWest Championships.
Wheeling Jesuit: Placed second with a 12-11.75 mark in the pole vault at the Ashland Alumni Open.

Western Washington: Came in second in the javelin with a throw of 166-5 at the Ralph Vernacchia meet.
