The time has come to vote for who you believe deserves the honor of HERO of The Week for their performance in last week's swim and dive competitions at the D3 level for women.
Voting takes place in the poll below, and once you have done so, make sure you share with your friends to get your favorite candidate the most votes as possible. Voting will close at 11 a.m. PST on Friday.
If you have a nominee for future installments, make sure to tweet them out to @HEROSportsHOTW with the hashtag #HEROSwim. Without further ado, let's get to it!
Clare Cushing, Swarthmore
In three races vs the Bullets of Gettysburg, Cushing finished at the podium in each, winning twice. The sophomore has now finished at least second in each of her last five races.
Kathleen Crilly, Gettysburg
Crilly returns to the list of nominees after winning both the 50 and 100 Free versus Swarthmore. The sophomore has still yet to finish worse than second in any race this year.
Allie Umemoto, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
Umemoto came up big for CMS in a meet with Chapman, winning two races and getting a silver in her third. Like our other nominees, the podium is a regular occurrence for her, as she has now finished on the podium in every race this year.
Alexa Melara, Whittier
Melara won two races against Redlands, bumping her season total to five. Her victories came in the 200 Breast and 200 IM.
Kayley Alioto, UW-La Crosse
Our first diving nominee, Alioto won both the 1m and 3m competitions against rival Whitewater. Since finishing fifth in her first competition, Alioto has not finished anywhere but first.
