As UConn battles for an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament, they secured a huge piece for the future. Zach Brown, a five-star center in the 2017 class, committed to Kevin Ollie and the Huskies on Wednesday, according to ESPN recruiting analyst Reggie Rankin.

Brown, a 7-1, 256-pound behemoth from Miami, opted for an early verball commitment by selecting UConn over Kansas, Miami (FL), Ohio State, UCLA and others. He is rated as the No. 17 overall prospect in the Rivals150 for 2017.
