Burning Questions for West Liberty Athletics
What will be the biggest difference between this year’s team and last year’s team?
“Team lost its leader in assists (Indiana Faithful) and its leading rebounder (CJ Hester). Hester was a four year starter and will be missed in the paint.”
Which newcomer do you think will make the biggest impact this season?
“Both Dennis and Justice are expected to see action as true freshman.”
Which player(s) do you expect to lead the team this season? Please name the captains if that has already been established.
“Returning National Player of the Year Seger Bonifant leads an experienced group of seniors. Junior Guard Devin Hoehn is also a Pre-Season All-American and will be called upon for leadership this season.”
Is there one game you have circled on your calendar as your “game of the year”?
“Rivals include Wheeling Jesuit and Fairmont State. With the success of the program in recent years West Liberty gets everyone’s best shot night in and night out.”
Is there anything else you want fans to know about your team?
“West Liberty is a small school with a very dedicated fan base that follows the team all over the region. The Hilltoppers have arguably been the most successful basketball program in the nation over the past six seasons.”
