Boise State was selected by a media panel as the preseason favorite to win the Mountain West Championship in 2025.
The Broncos have been the preseason favorite in the conference for 15 consecutive seasons. They won the league last year and made an appearance in the College Football Playoff. Boise State has won the conference the past two years.
Broncos quarterback Maddux Madsen was named the Preseason Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year. San Diego State players received two top honors, as Aztecs EDGE Trey White was named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year while kicker Gabe Plascencia is the MW’s Preseason Special Teams Player of the Year.
