6: Zerrick Cooper, QB (Jr.) — Jacksonville State
Cooper faced big expectations in his first season at JSU last year after transferring from Clemson. He lived up to the hype and got the JSU offense back to being explosive.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound signal-caller started all 13 games and broke several single-season school records: pass completions (251), passing yards (3,416), passing touchdowns (32), passing yards per game (262.8), touchdowns responsible for (38) and total offense per game (290.9).

Cooper earned HERO Sports Sophomore All-American honors and was named to the All-OVC First Team.
With his top four pass-catchers back, Cooper is set for a monster junior season. We named him on our Preseason All-American Third Team, and Cooper was selected as the OVC's Preseason Offensive Player of the Year.
