A few years ago the battle between Clemson and Louisville would hardly ripple on the national scale. This weekend the No. 3 Tigers will travel to take on the No. 14 Cardinals in a game that will have a big impact on both the Atlantic Coast Conference picture and on the College Football Playoff this fall.
The Tigers have swatted away the Cardinals by the slimmest of margins in each of the last three seasons as Louisville has just come up short time and time again. Reigning Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson looked imperious in breaking records against North Carolina and if he can carry that form into the game this weekend then it could finally be a different story for the home team.
