Chad Williams put up huge numbers for Grambling State, and now in his rookie training camp with the Arizona Cardinals, he's in position to develop into a productive NFL receiver.

The 6-foot-2, 204 pound receiver hauled in 90 passes for more than 1,300 yards and 11 touchdowns last year for the Tigers, and his 4.37 40-yard dash and 35.5 vertical leap caught the eye of the Arizona Cardinals. They selected him 98th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft with a third-round pick.
Now on the Cardinals roster, Williams is in prime position to advance quickly.
First, he has possibly the best position mentor in all of the NFL — Larry Fitzgerald. The 14-year vet and 10-time Pro Bowler is just shy of 15,000 career receiving yards, the leader among active receivers and ninth all-time in NFL history.
Williams will be in the wide receivers room, on the practice field, and in film study with Fitzgerald daily. And Fitzgerald has already praised Williams, saying he reminds him of "Anquan Boldin in terms of the strength of his hands. Once it touches his hands it just doesn't move. He's got unbelievably strong hands."
On the other side of the ball, Williams will go up against one of the better secondary units in the NFL each day in practice — guys like Patrick Peterson, Justin Bethel, Tyran Mathieu and Antoine Bethea.

Williams heads into camp competing for a depth spot in the Cardinals wide receiver ranks. He has his work cut out for him to get on the field, but he's in a position to hone his craft as he begins his NFL career.
