The Oklahoma senior absolutely balled out against Ohio State Saturday night, leading the Sooners to a road victory over the Buckeyes in impressive fashion, 31-16.
After a tight, 3-3 first half, Mayfield began to pick apart the Ohio State defense through the air as the Buckeyes' front seven controlled the run game. Oklahoma rushed for just 104 yards in the game, leaving Mayfield no option but to take the game into his own hands.
That he did, connecting with nine different receivers — showing great chemistry with Dimitri Flowers (7 catches for 98 yards and a TD), Jeff Badet (5 for 82 yards) and CeeDee Lamb (5 for 61 yards).
He finished 27 of 35 for 386 yards and 3 touchdowns. Check out some of the throws he connected on:

Mayfield finished fourth in Heisman voting in 2015 and third in the vote last year. Clearly he's looking for a different outcome this year, and he helped make his case Saturday night.
