The Jacksonville Jaguars went 3-13 last season, haven't won more than five games since 2010 and have a roster laced with young talent, underachieving veterans and a whole lot of question marks. Doug Marrone knows that, so he's not wasting anyone's time by pretending everything is "hunky-dory" this offseason.
Marrone arrived in Jacksonville in 2015 as Gus Bradley's assistant head coach and offensive line coach, and was promoted to head coach in January following Bradley's dismissal. After winning 15 games in two seasons with the Buffalo Bills (2013-14), he took over a team who's barely eclipsed that number in the last five seasons.

Though his roster features proven commodities at a few positions, it's mostly highlighted by mediocre veterans, high-priced free agents and a pile of unproven first- and second-year players. Marrone has expressed confidence in the Jaguars' roster and organization as a whole but isn't ignorant to the reality: The Jaguars are not a great football team and have not been one for a decade.
Therefore during an OTA press conference on Friday, he didn't spew the typical offseason fluff:
