President Eisenhower's first term was dominated by the Bud Wilkinson-led Sooners.
They won titles in both 1955 and 1956, giving them the Eisenhower Administration over Ole Miss, who had a better record, albeit by a hair, than Oklahoma, 71-12-3 vs. 70-12-2. However, the Rebels didn't win AP national title during the World War II hero's tenure.
