Could both Alabama and Ohio State reach the College Football Playoff for the third time in four seasons? Oddsmakers like those chances.

The Crimson Tide (-195) are overwhelming favorites in BetOnline's updated odds to earn a spot in the four-team playoff for the fourth-straight season. Though the Buckeyes have the second-best odds, they're far behind at +140, followed closely by USC (+150) and Florida State (+155). Defending national champion Clemson is buried at +700.
Those four teams are the highest in their respective conferences. Oklahoma (+250) has the best odds in the Big 12 — and no other team is remotely close. With six teams apiece, the Pac-12 and SEC have the most number of teams listed. The ACC and Big 12 just behind at five, while the Big Ten has four. Notre Dame (+1200) is the lone independent, and zero Group of Five teams are listed.
