The No. 1 defense in the FCS by most standards in 2016 was Villanova. The Wildcats gave up the least yards (259.8 per game) and points (15.0 per game) this year, and can thank Tanoh Kpassagnon for some of their success.
The senior defensive end racked up 11 sacks this season (.85 per game) to finish 14th in the FCS, and totaled 21.5 tackles per loss (1.7 per game), the 13th-best mark in the division. He led his team and the Colonial Athletic Association in both categories.
Kpassagnon is currently the 15th-ranked defensive end prospect in the 2017 NFL Draft according to NFLDraftScout.com, and could very well be a household (if hard to pronounce) name in the NFL in a matter of time.
