One hundred and forty-three members of the Northwest Missouri State family are active duty service members. Their football program is honoring them on Saturday.
The Bearcats are undefeated and ranked No. 5 in the BennettRank D2 Football Rankings following last weekend's win over Central Missouri at Arrowhead Stadium. They host Central Oklahoma this week, when they'll hold Military Appreciation Day. And their tributes will include special helmets with the names of active duty service members.

The white helmets feature a stars-and-stripes logo along with the 143 names of those service members in the stripe across the top of the helmet. The U.S. National Guard helped them assemble the helmets this week.
