East Carolina started the season 0-2, with a home loss to FCS James Madison (34-14) and a road loss to West Virginia (56-20). But so far against Virginia Tech, it looks like the Pirates are ready to pull out a win.
Check out this 27-yard sideline catch by ECU WR Quay Johnson:

This unbelievable catch helped ECU open up a 17-7 lead over No. 16 VT in the first quarter. The Hokies managed to pull ahead 23-17 at halftime, but there's still a lot of game left to play. In any case, Quay Johnson will definitely be on the ballot for college football highlight of the week, and maybe catch of the year.
