Delta thought their Friday morning Atlanta-to-South Bend route wouldn't be in high demand the day before Georgia–Notre Dame. They thought wrong.
Georgia plays Notre Dame on Saturday night in the teams' first-ever meeting and the Bulldogs' first game above the Mason-Dixon Line since 1965. Ticket prices are through the roof and South Bend hotels have been sold out for months. And every Georgia fan with a ticket and accommodations is determined to get there, even if it means declining a $4,000 offer.

Zach Klein, the sports director for WSB-TV in Atlanta, documented Delta's attempts to get people off the overbooked flight by offering gigantic sums of money and a later (7:00 p.m. ET) flight.
