Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield was announced as the 2017 winner of the Heisman Trophy, running away with the award over second-place finisher — Stanford running back Bryce Love — and third place finisher — Louisville quarterback and 2016 winner Lamar Jackson.

Mayfield far outpaced the other athletes nominated, earning 732 first-place votes to runner-up Love's 75.
The final voting results show that Baker Mayfield ran away with the Heisman.

Mayfield completed 262 of 369 passes (71 percent) for 4,340 yards, 43 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions, carrying the ball 85 times for 310 yards and 5 more scores.
