Miami Punt Goes -1 Yards in the Air Against Duke

Miami Punt Goes -1 Yards in the Air Against Duke

The Miami Hurricanes controlled nearly every aspect of tonight's 31-6 route of the Duke Blue Devils in Durham.

But as all college football coaches will tell you, there's always a teaching moment no matter how badly you've dominated your opponent.

Just such a moment happened when freshman punted Zach Feagles – son of former New York Giants punter Jeff Feagles – shanked this punt to the tune of minus one yard. The punt was so awful he practically could have downed it himself.

Just heard a -1 yard punt happened… not good for the punting brand. pic.twitter.com/yHGEgtjOBh

While amusing, the poor kick had little impact on a game the Hurricanes dominated from start to finish.
