One hundred and twenty-one FBS teams were eliminated from College Football Playoff contention through Week 10, an average of 11 per week (including Week 0). In each of the 11 weeks, at least two teams were eliminated, including two — Kentucky and LSU — in Week 10. Zero teams will be eliminated in Week 11.
Nine teams are still alive entering Week 11: Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Washington State and West Virginia. All nine teams are in action on Saturday, including four teams on the road, two of whom — Clemson (at No. 17 Boston College) and Ohio State (at No. 18 Michigan State) play ranked teams. Also, Georgia and Alabama host No. 24 Auburn and No. 16 Mississippi State. The Bulldogs are Crimson Tide were responsible for the only two Week 10 eliminations.
All nine teams are favorites, though, as of Wednesday, Nov. 6, two are favored by fewer than seven points: Ohio State (-3.5) and Washington State (-6 at Colorado).
Prediction: Not one of the nine playoff-contending teams will lose in Week 11, meaning, obviously, we'll have nine playoff-contending teams with two regular-season weeks remaining.
