The University of Hawai'i made a mistake in 1998. They eliminated one of the best logos in college sports. And two decades later, the mistake still hasn't been corrected.
Hawaii is one of 11 college football teams who need to replace their current logo with a throwback logo.

Akron
The Zips are unique. There are no other Zips in the NCAA at any level. But that doesn't mean the "Z" logo is cool.
Akron needs a jump-start to become part of the national conversation. Change the color scheme back to yellow and purple and bring back the perfectly simple block "A" logo.

Arizona
This may fall more under the category of "use the throwback logo more" than a full logo swap.
Regardless, Arizona must utilize this throwback secondary logo from the 1980s and '90s more often. It would be a perfect complement to the long-used "A" logo.

Arizona State
The pitchfork was awesome because a devil was carrying it. The pitchfork by itself is dumb.
Why Arizona State made this change in 2010 is still incomprehensible and they need to return to one of the best logos in college football history.

Florida
Like Arizona, I don't care if Florida brings back this throwback logo as a primary or secondary logo. They just need to bring it back.
One of the most uniquely designed logos ever, the circular UF would look incredible on a football helmet.

Oklahoma State
Bravo to Oklahoma State for using Pistol Pete often. Now it's time to bring him back as the primary logo.
The current OSU logo — used since 2001 — is fine but with a mascot like Pistol Pete, you can do so much better.

Oregon State
This was Oregon State's primary logo from 1973-96 (minus a few minor updates) and remained a secondary logo through 2012. It was ditched during the major rebranding that brought the current Beaver logo.

Pittsburgh
We've seen what Pittsburgh can do with this color scheme. I'd be satisfied with keeping the "Pitt" script logo but a complete switch to the old colors and primary logo from 1980-96 would be spectacular.

Tennessee
This is an unpopular opinion. The Vols' iconic "T" logo is beloved by almost everyone and has been Tennessee's primary logo for the last half-century.
But, still, this is one of the best throwback logos ever. Bring it back in some capacity.

UCLA
Return to the old and simple "Ucla" script and drop the "BRUINS" at the bottom. It's more classic and less cartoonish than the current logo.

Virginia
Another logo that might be better in a secondary capacity, Virginia's Cavalier logo from 1978-93 was magnificent. I'd pay big money to see this logo on a football helmet.
