Western Michigan and Buffalo's seven-overtime game (tied for the most in FBS history) produced 139 total points, breaking the previous record of 137 points set by Pittsburgh (76) and Syracuse (61) in a non-overtime game in 2016.
Western Michigan and Buffalo were tied at 31-31 at the end of regulation, meaning they both scored more points in the seven overtimes than in regulation. They combined for 1,328 yards of total offense and 63 first downs.
