Not many college football players have ever rushed for at least 2,000 yards in one season. And even fewer have rushed for 2,000 yards and returned for at least one more season. But of those who did return, all but one did so because they were not eligible for the NFL Draft.
Who's the only draft-eligible player to return to school after rushing for 2,000 yards in one season?
One reason this is a difficult question: The NCAA didn't officially count bowl stats until 2002. This, for example, eliminates a player like Northwestern running back Damien Anderson, who rushed for 2,063 yards as a draft-eligible junior in 2000 but returned in 2001. One hundred and thirty-nine of his yards came in the Alamo Bowl.

Bryce Love
Amazingly, it never happened until last year. Bryce Love rushed for 2,118 yards and was widely considered one of the top running back prospects for the 2018 draft. Instead, he put the NFL on hold and will play his final season at Stanford.
