Geneva's Trewon Marshall is taking the D3 landscape by storm. By ground, actually, as the junior running back is piling on the yards through just two games this season.

In two games against Marietta and Bethany, Marshall has totaled 466 rushing yards on 63 carries, compiling a 7.4 yards-per-carry average and a 233 yard-per game average.
Marshall rushed for 198 yards and two scores in the team's opener against Marietta, a game Geneva fell by just a point 26-25. The Golden Tornadoes rebounded in week two for a 34-13 win over Bethany, a game that saw Marshall rush for 268 yards on 32 carries and add three touchdowns.
According to Geneva athletics, the performance was the second-highest single-game total in school history.
After two games, Marshall is the second-leading rusher in all of college football, behind only Lake Forest's Joey Valdivia. He has more rushing yards than the D2 leader (West Virginia State's Calil Wilkins, 392 yards), the FCS leader (Maine's Josh Mack, 358 yards) and the FBS leaders (Hawaii's Diocemy Saint Juste, 434 yards in three games; San Diego State's Rashaad Penny, 413 yards in two games).

It's only been two games, but Marshall is already looking like one of the most impressive running backs in all of D3 football.
Keep an eye on the Geneva back as the season continues. The Golden Tornadoes take on St. Vincent this weekend, a team that is allowing nearly 190 rushing yards per game on the season
