The D3 college football season is coming down the home stretch, which makes it the perfect time to check out a slew of running backs making lives miserable for opposing defenses.

Lamar Carswell — Trine

You know you're having an epic season when your lowest rushing output in a single game is still 157 yards.
Carswell is putting up stats like he's Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl. He's averaging 202.4 yards per contest and has scored an insane 23 touchdowns in just seven games. His most ridiculous output came in a 52-24 win over Alma as the running back went off for 293 yards and five touchdowns on only 19 carries.
Carswell has led the Thunder to a perfect 7-0 mark, and the senior is already the school's all-time leading rusher with three games remaining, including potentially the playoffs.

LeAnthony Reasnover — Eureka

As crazy as it may seem, there is a D3 running back with more rushing touchdowns than Carswell.
Reasnover has found the end zone 26 times and enters Saturday's contest against Concordia-Chicago just 83 yards behind the Trine standout.
The senior is averaging 190.6 yards per game, has already gone over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the third straight year and looks to add to his career 5,183 rushing yards over the last three games — not to mention the possibility of a playoff run for the 7-0 Red Devils.

Tanner Clark — Marietta

In his third season of action, Clark has exploded on the scene to obliterate all of his statistical bests for Marietta College.
Already with 1,198 yards rushing, the running back is responsible for one of the best rushing performances of the season when he ripped through Capital for 311 yards and five rushing touchdowns. He also hauled in a touchdown pass to give him 358 yards of offense on the day.
Clark's 16 rushing touchdowns place him third in the country behind only Reasnover and Carswell.

Brian Mann — Ferrum

Mann ranks third in D3 rushing yards per game at 187.7. He was a workhorse in carrying the ball 38 and 36 times in back-to-back games against Shenandoah and Guilford respectively.
Mann has gone over the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the third straight time in his career and somehow has lost only two fumbles despite nearly 700 carries.

Josh Parks — St. Thomas (MN)

How would you like to have a running back so talented that he averages a first down every time he touches the ball?
That's the case with Parks and his amazing 10.45-yards-per-rush average, and he's a big reason we have the Tommies ranked no. 8 in the country.
His most impressive performance on the year came during a 68-0 win over Carleton in which he averaged 15.2 yards per carry after shredding the defense for 198 yards on just 13 rushes.
